Susana Sosenski is a researcher and professor at the Instituto de Investigaciones Históricas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in History in the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature. She received her PhD in History from El Colegio de México, Mexico. Her research focuses on the social and cultural history of childhood, and she is also interested in investigating the role of children's voices in history. She was awarded a prize for the Best Doctoral Thesis in Humanities by the Mexican Academy of Sciences in 2008, and also received distinction in the area of humanities research by the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 2015.
