On July 14, USC Shoah Foundation Institute Executive Director Stephen D. Smith will introduce the Visual History Archive and discuss its value to genealogy at the 30th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy. Attendees will be able to search the archive and view testimony at the conference throughout its duration.
Generations: Survival and the Legacy of Hope, a video installation which explores the impact of the Holocaust on four families across three generations, will also be on display at the conference. Developed by the UK Holocaust Centre, the installation was previously on display at the United Nations in commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day 2010. View news story
