Sponsored by the Initiative for Moral Courage at San Diego State University, the Symposium on Moral Courage is designed to raise awareness of the importance of this ethical principle in the San Diego community through music, art, and lectures. The Symposium brings together faculty and students from local universities as well as members of the community in order to examine critical issues in genocide and global justice.The symposium runs from October 24 to 30 at San Diego State University.

USC Shoah Foundation Institute Executive Director Stephen D. Smith will join Leora Kahn, Fellow at the Center for Genocide Studies at Yale University, for the session "Reactions and Reflections on the Symposium Presentations" that takes place at 4:30 PM on Sunday, October 30.

The Symposium on Moral Courage is free and open to the public.
