How can artists use and/or respond to videotaped testimonies and other artifacts of "what happened” in the creation of something new and immediate and now? Can theatre serve in shaping an audience’s perception and ultimately the world?

Please join us for a day-long event focused on artistic work that engages with catastrophe and events — personal and world-wide — which challenge our sense of how things ought to be. Admission is open to the public, and USC students, faculty and staff. The day is part of the Association for Jewish Theatre's four-day international conference in Los Angeles, Reflecting and Shaping a Shifting World.

The event runs from 10 AM to 4 PM, with optional breakout sessions to follow from 4 - 6 PM. Stephen Smith, USC Shoah Foundation Institute Executive Director will speak at 10:30 AM. The complete schedule can be found on the Witness and Responsibility website.

The dinner event at Hillel requires a separate ticket.
