LA City Council Member Paul Krekorian is hosting a commemoration event marking the 97th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide at LA City Hall on Friday, April 20, 2012. The event honors the joint efforts of the Armenian Film Foundation and the USC Shoah Foundation Institute and recognizes the contributions of community activists: Elen Asatryan; Natalie Kalbakian; Ara Khachatourian; Nareg Kitsinian; John Kossakian; Ara Oshagan; Levon Parian; Ara Soudjian; Garen Yegparian. Kim Simon, Managing Director, will represent the USC Shoah Foundation Institute at the event.
The reception will start at 9 AM, followed by a presentation before the LA City Council at 10 AM. Parking can be arranged at LA City Hall with vehicle information. Please contact Hrag Yedalian, Director of Special Projects in the office of Councilmember Paul Krekorian at hrag.yedalian@lacity.org.
