This lesson is developed as part of the teaching process in the 8th grade of elementary school. It is dedicated to Branko Lustig and his Oscar-winning film, Schindler’s List (1993). The lesson’s objectives include development of reading skills: prediction, skimming, scanning, inferring; listening skills: prediction, gist, listening for specific information, inference; speaking skills: fluency, accuracy, practice; and discourse skills: the ability to initiate discussion about choices and consequences of actions. The learning outcomes include introduction and practice of new vocabulary, review of previously learned vocabulary, as well as acquisition and application of new knowledge.
