Segments for the Classroom is a video resource created in response to the interest expressed by educators of students ages 14 and up to integrate testimony with their classroom lessons. Segments for the Classroom consists of seven downloadable clip reels—six in English, and one in Spanish—that contain excerpts of testimony from the Institute’s Visual History Archive covering a variety of topics. Each icon below represents an English-language clip reel. From left to right, they are: The Holocaust through the Eyes of Child Survivors, Facing Persecution as a Jehovah’s Witness, The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, Surviving Auschwitz II-Birkenau, The Auschwitz II-Birkenau Sonderkommando, and the Sobibor Uprising. Please click on an icon to view the reel. A written summary of each reel is downloadable as a PDF.

Educators should preview and consider using these Segments for the Classroom clip reels to supplement and enhance their own lessons and activities as deemed appropriate.

Segments for the Classroom has been made available on the web at no charge to users through generous funding by the Leo Rosner Foundation.
