Stephen D. Smith, other Holocaust Education Leaders in Macedonia to Discuss National Holocaust Education Program

This week, Stephen D. Smith, USC Shoah Foundation Institute Executive Director, joined Mark Weitzman, Director of the Task Force against Hate and Terrorism and Associate Director of Education for the Simon Wiesenthal Center, and Na’ama Shik, Director of the Educational Technology Department of the International School for Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem, to meet with government officials, educators, and members of the Jewish community in the Republic of Macedonia.  Discussions have focused on how best to integrate the Memorial Centre of the Holocaust in Skopje (now under construction) into a national program for Holocaust education.
