Na budově školy v Merhautově ulici je dodnes pamětní deska, která byla v době svého vzniku unikátní v celém Československu. Připomínala totiž ve veřejném prostoru genocidu židovských spoluobčanů, aniž by se snažila zamlčet fakt, že byli zavražděni jen a pouze proto, že byli označeni za Židy. Slovo Žid a tematika holocaustu byly totiž za komunistického režimu považovány za politicky nekorektní, připomínáni byli především komunističtí partyzáni a české oběti války. Deska byla pořízena v rámci oslav 20.

On the day of the IWalk launch, 35 teachers in Philadelphia were trained on how to use the new app, which guides users through a plaza that memorializes the Holocaust.
