More than 350 New York metropolitan area high school students debuted the work that they completed in the IWitness application at the United Nations Headquarters, on January 23, 2012.The event was cosponsored by the United States Mission to the United Nations, and held in observance of the International Day of Commemoration, in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.  The theme of the week of events for 2012 at the United Nations is “Children and the Holocaust.”Read a news item about the event.

On January 24 to 26, 2012, on the eve of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, educational resources offered by four organizations were presented to Czech teachers in a unique pilot event.  Experts from Yad Vashem, the Educational Center of the Jewish Museum of Prague, the Terezin Memorial, and the USC Shoah Foundation Institute, partnered with local activists to showcase the educational materials and other resources made available by their organizations.  The traveling seminar visited the cities of Ústí nad Labem, Klášterec nad Ohří, and Varnsdorf, in the Czech borderlands.
