On February 10-11, the USC Shoah Foundation hosted a two-day event devoted to a multi-faceted inquiry of memory and its manifestations in individual and public life.  Sponsored by The Dornsife Commons, the event was led by USC Shoah staff member Dr. Dan Leshem.

On February 14, Holocaust survivor Pinchas Gutter participated in a prototype interview for New Dimensions in Testimony, an initiative to record and display 3D interactive testimonies that will preserve the dialogue between Holocaust survivors and learners far into the future.  Gutter's interview was part of the New Dimensions in Testimony seminar (February 13-15), which brought together Holocaust survivors, technologists, and leaders of museums and memorial institutions from around the world.  More

On February 7, 2012, from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m., the USC Shoah Foundation hosted an event entitled Witness and Responsibility, in the Doheny Memorial Library.  The day-long event focused on artistic work that engages with catastrophe and events—personal and world-wide—which challenge our sense of how things ought to be.  The event was a part of the Association for Jewish Theatre's four-day international conference in Los Angeles, Reflecting and Shaping a Shifting World.
