Lorena Cardona González is a sociologist and lecturer at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina in the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Sciences. She received her PhD in History and MA in History and Memory from the National University of La Plata (UNLP). She is a member of the Center for Sociohistorical Research (Sociohistorical Research Center, CISH) belonging to the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Sciences of the UNLP, as well as a researcher participant in the project "Recent History and the public uses of the past: militancy, ethnicity and memory policies from / in Latin America"; (FAHCE-UNLP), and at the Program in Jewish Studies (NEJ), belonging to the IDES -CONICET. Her areas of interest are the study of the Holocaust and its representations and the history of the German community in Colombia in the context of the Second World War.
