Institute's education team to lead teaching seminar in Pittsburgh

The education team at USC Shoah Foundation will be leading a no-cost professional-development seminar for middle- and high-school educators. Taught in collaboration with the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh, the ITeach seminar will provide instruction on how teachers can:

•  use testimony to address challenging social-climate issues such as contemporary antisemitism and the rise in hate crimes

• use the Institute's education website, IWitness, to provide students a unique primary source that connects learners with contextualized first-person views of history through multimedia activities

• employ effective strategies on teaching with IWitness, which offers students more than 3,000 full life testimonies of survivors and witnesses to genocide


A lunch will be provided; educators are asked to bring a laptop and headphones.
