Call for Applications
The Programs Division at the USC Shoah Foundation invites applications for its Non-Residential Fellowships for the academic year 2026-2027. This program is open to scholars from any discipline who do not have access to the USC Shoah Foundation archive through their home institutions.
Scholars will be chosen for participation based on the quality of their work and demonstrated need for access to the USC Shoah Foundation’s archive, which currently holds over 60,000 video testimonies of survivors and witnesses of the Holocaust and other genocides and episodes of mass violence as well as a growing collection of interviews about antisemitism since 1945.
Eligibility requirements: Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited graduate program or hold a PhD and be pursuing original research that uses testimonies. They may be affiliated with a research institution or independent scholars.
While we will accept applications from the 2025-2026 cohort of non-residential fellows, we will only award fellowships to previous fellows who demonstrate an exceptional need for archive access.
