Henry Rosmarin remembers when he was called into the commandant’s quarters at Dyhernfurth concentration camp in Germany late one night and told to play a musical piece by Schubert on the harmonica. Henry credits his musical skills on saving his life. Henry’s testimony clip is featured in the book, Testimony – The Legacy of Schindler’s List and the USC Shoah Foundation.

Louis Bannet describes being selected for the camp orchestra in which he performed as the conductor in Auschwitz. This is the 48th testimony clip in the series 70 Days of Testimony: Leading up to the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz.

Klara Benjamin-Belkin was liberated from Bergen-Belsen in 1945 and after the war she pursued her passion in music and became the principle cellist in a symphony for 20 years. In this testimony clip she plays one of her favorite pieces.
