Nanjing testimonies included in Facing History and Ourselves https://www.facinghistory.org 2015: 20 new Nanjing Massacre survivor testimonies are recorded in December 2014: The first 12 testimonies of survivors of the 1937 Nanjing Massacre are indexed and integrated into the Visual History Archive. The next 18 testimonies are recorded in September and October.

2015: USC Shoah Foundation trained a team of four staff members from Aegis Trust, a British NGO that aims to prevent genocide worldwide, on best practices for archiving video testimonies. Their visit was partly supported by the Rwanda Peace Education Program (RPEP), which is led by multiple international partners, including USC Shoah Foundation, to develop peace education in Rwanda. USC Shoah Foundation Documentary Films Algunos que vivieron (Some Who Lived) (Broken Silence series, 2002) Argentine filmmaker Luis Puenzo (director of the Academy Award®-winning film, ) directed this Spanish-language film, weaving together testimonies from Holocaust survivors now living in Argentina and Uruguay with archival and modern-day footage. Puenzo also explores the connections between Nazism and the darker chapters in modern Argentine history.

2015-2016: Florian Köppl serves as the USC Shoah Foundation Austrian Holocaust Memorial Service in which he works at the Institute for a year in lieu of his mandatory military service.  Each year, USC Shoah Foundation hosts an intern from the Austrian Holocaust Memorial Service. The AHMS is an alternative to Austria's six-month military service requirement for men; instead of serving in the military after high school, they can complete year-long internships at Holocaust memorial institutions around the world or other social service organizations.
