Philadelphia is home to the new Horwitz-Wasserman Holocaust Memorial Plaza. The Memorial Plaza features USC Shoah Foundation’s IWalk app that guides visitors through the interpretive elements of the Memorial Plaza with background information and personal testimonies of Holocaust survivors and other witnesses.

To support educators’ integration of this innovative resource, the Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation and USC Shoah Foundation have partnered with ADL to provide professional development to educators in the Philadelphia area.

Attendees of this program will visit the Plaza joined by a Holocaust survivor.

Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Attendees will receive a $20 stipend for parking/transportation costs.

  • Experience the Horwitz-Wasserman Holocaust Memorial Plaza IWalk educational experience.
  • Explore the teacher and student functions of the IWalk and learn how to access the testimony-based resources available to support student learning.
  • Increase capacity to engage students in a study of historic and contemporary themes related to the Holocaust and help counter stereotyping, prejudice, and antisemitism.
