In honor of Genocide Awareness Month. join USC Shoah Foundation’s Student Organization DEFY and USC Shoah Foundation Center for Advanced Genocide Research for “When Memories Unfold: Poetry After Genocide.”

The youngest female survivor on Schindler’s List survivor Celina Biniaz and Rwandan Tutsi survivor Edith Umugiraneza will share poetry they wrote about their experience of genocide, survival and life today. Edith's work is in loving memory of her mother and Celina's collection is inspired by her return to Auschwitz-Birkenau for the 70th Anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi death camp.

Taper Hall of Humanities Room (THH) Room 301. Light refreshments will be served.
