70 Days of Testimony: Leading up to the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz
On Jan. 27, 2015, the world will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp.
To honor the occasion, for the next 70 days USC Shoah Foundation will highlight testimony clips from people who witnessed firsthand the horrors of Auschwitz. The clips will cover the arc of experiences relating to Auschwitz, including construction, deportation, arrival, treatment, forced labor, resistance, camp conditions and liberation.
These clips encompass only a small fraction of the over 11,000 testimonies in the Visual History Archive that reference Auschwitz, but offer a rare glimpse into what life was like at the camp by people who were there.
