Shoah Foundation Institute Student Association
The USC Shoah Foundation Institute is pleased to announce the formation of the Shoah Foundation Institute Student Association (SFISA), a student-led organization comprised of undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Southern California.
SFISA works in conjunction with the Institute to plan and publicize events through which USC students will engage with the testimonies in the Visual History Archive. By presenting these opportunities for testimony-based learning and human rights advocacy, SFISA aims to promote tolerance and build momentum behind the educational use of genocide survivor and witness testimony at USC.
SFISA meets on a biweekly basis to outline strategies and coordinate with colleagues at the Institute. The first SFISA-cosponsored events will take place in April: the awards ceremony for the Student Voices Film Competition, and a lecture by poet Richard Berengarten cosponsored by the USC chapter of STAND, the student-led division of United to End Genocide.
