Martin Šmok, the Institute's Senior International Program Consultant, discusses the Institute on Czech radio

"The archive has nearly 52,000 interviews and they are as varied as human beings are....  The scope of information really mirrors the scope of differences between people."

Documentary filmmaker Martin Šmok has been involved with the USC Shoah Foundation Institute since the mid-1990s.  As the Institute's Senior International Program Consultant, he helps lead the effort to bring Holocaust survivor and witness testimony into the education systems of Central and Eastern European countries.  Earlier this month, Šmok gave an English-language interview on Czech radio about how he came to the Institute and the significance of the Visual History Archive.
