Daniel P. Relihan, PhD
Research Scientist, Countering Antisemitism Lab
Dr. Relihan is a social psychologist whose research examines how social identity, motivated reasoning, and moral perspectives shape responses to threatening information and societal challenges. His current work focuses on experimentally testing and applying psychological inoculation (pre-bunking) interventions to reduce extremism and polarization, with particular attention to antisemitism. He is also exploring how artificial intelligence can be responsibly integrated into prevention and resilience-building efforts. His research has been published in the Annual Review of Psychology, Political Psychology, Scientific Reports, and PNAS Nexus. Dr. Relihan holds a Ph.D. in Social Psychology, with a minor in Quantitative Psychology, from the University of California, Irvine.
