Accessibility Guidelines at USC Shoah Foundation

USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education is committed to providing and improving accessibility for all visitors including people with specific needs or disabilities across all of our web properties, include this site, IWitness, the Visual History Archive and our USC Shoah Foundation Access Site. The Institute has procedures and policies in place to comply with the United States federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines concerning web and video accessibility.

As part of this policy, the Institute has implemented a multiphase roadmap for adding closed captions to English language media assets on its public-facing websites. As of June 2022, all new media assets posted on USC Shoah Foundation websites are required to contain closed captions. Additionally, USC Shoah Foundation will continue to add closed captions to its library of Visual History Archives. If at any time, you find that any resources in the Institute’s website are inaccessible to you, we encourage you to contact us at vhi-web@usc.edu with a link to the page.
