Through eyewitness accounts and gripping footage, acclaimed Rwandan filmmaker Eric Kabera takes the viewer on an emotional journey into the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, its survivors, and the memorials created in the victims' honor.

Keepers of Memory features the personal accounts of men and women who watch over Rwanda’s sacred burial sites to keep the memory of the genocide alive for future generations. Their stories depict unimaginable pain and loss, couched in the inspirational and thought-provoking tale of a country bravely rebuilding and facing the future.

Film not rated. Running time: 52 minutes.

After the screening, Kabera will engage the audience in a discussion about the film, memory, and the role of the filmmaker in preserving the stories of the past.
