Niruban Balachandran

Niruban Balachandran comes to us from the Global Executive Doctorate in Education program at the USC Rossier School of Education.

Previously, Niruban served with the World Bank, the U.S. Institute of Peace, and other leading organizations, with over two decades of experience in higher education, psychological science, international aid, and foreign policy. He is also a Fulbright Specialist Fellow, a Truman National Security Fellow, a New America National Security Next Generation Leader, and holds degrees from Rutgers and Harvard.

In his role as Fellow, Niruban will work to further develop the Global South-North Institute (GSNI) to build bridges between the two hemispheres, address antisemitism in the Global South through curriculum development and educator toolkits, lead GSNI roundtable dialogues at USC’s Capital Campus in Washington DC, and contribute to peer-reviewed scholarly publications.
