Problems Without Passports
Training at the Institute prepares USC undergrads for field research on the Cambodian Genocide
For the second year, the USC Shoah Foundation Institute participated in “Conflict Resolution and Peace Research: Cambodia,” a summer undergraduate course offered through the USC School of International Relations’ Problems Without Passports program.
Problems Without Passports courses combine problem-based or inquiry learning research with field work. Students in “Conflict Resolution and Peace Research: Cambodia” received training at the Institute to prepare them for field research in Cambodia; the course culminated in a two-week trip to Cambodia, where the students conducted their own interviews with survivors of the Cambodian Genocide.
