On May 4, 1945, the 66th Infantry, 71st Division, in General George Patton's 3rd Army, entered the Gunskirchen concentration camp, a subcamp of Mauthausen. In his testimony, Staff Sergeant Alan Moskin recalled the warning delivered by his captain, in the name of General Dwight D. Eisenhower.
