Panel: The Promise and Peril of Living in Virtual Worlds

Stephen Smith, USC Shoah Foundation’s executive director, will sit on a panel Wednesday evening that will discuss the ways in which alternate reality and virtual reality will alter the accepted norms of human-computer interaction.

Called “The Promise and Peril of Living in Virtual Worlds,” the panel will be from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wallis Annenberg Hall Forum. Other panelists will include Todd Richmond, director of Mixed Reality Lab / Studio at USC Institute for Creative Technologies; and Gaia Dempsey of 7th Future. It will be moderated by Dmitri Williams, a professor at USC Annenberg.

The panel is part of the Lens of Disruption workshop on VR and AR at Annenberg which starts at noon Tuesday and runs through Thursday.
