The Institute has begun preliminary work with partners in Belarus to introduce testimony to local educators and encourage the development of testimony-based classroom materials.
This summer, educators throughout Belarus and Russia—from Bobruisk, Moscow, Pskov, Smolensk, Mogilev, Brest, Rostov, Perm, Briansk, Jekaterinburg, Esher-Kala, and Krasnodar—joined educators in Novogrudok for a four-day session on how to teach about the Holocaust, organized by the Russian Research and Holocaust Education Center, the Belarusian Republican Holocaust Fund and Museum of History and Regional Studies, and Yad Vashem.
