Call for Applications: USC Shoah Foundation Epstein Family DC Campus Graduate Fellows, 2026–27


The Countering Antisemitism Lab at the USC Shoah Foundation Institute, with the support of the USC Graduate School, invites applications for the USC Shoah Foundation Epstein Family DC Campus Graduate Fellows during the 2026-27 academic year.

The USC Shoah Foundation Epstein Family DC Campus Graduate Fellows program will support one to two PhD fellows’ independent research in antisemitism studies for the 2026-27 academic year, in residence at the USC’s Capital Campus in Washington, DC. The call is open to fellows enrolled in any PhD program at USC. Fellows will be selected based on the quality of their proposed research and its relevance to USC Shoah Foundation and Countering Antisemitism Laboratory (CAL) resources and initiatives. Topics may include, but are not limited to, protecting democracy and engaging with public policy, journalism, countering antisemitism in the online/digital space, and/or the future of Holocaust memory and its role in combating antisemitism. We are particularly interested in work that incorporates use of our archives.

This Fellowship covers all tuition and fees. It pays at least USC’s minimum stipend and comes with $1,000 in research funds.

Eligibility requirements: Candidate must be an enrolled PhD student at USC and have advanced to candidacy by the start of the fellowship. We welcome applications from all academic disciplines.

This fellowship is awarded on a competitive basis. Applications must be submitted no later than midnight PT on December 17, 2025. Please submit your materials here.

Please note: Only complete applications will be considered. Fellows are required to be in residence at the USC Capital Campus in Washington, DC. Applicants will be notified of the outcome by February 1, 2026. Fellowship recipients will begin their tenure as USC Shoah Foundation Epstein Family DC Campus Graduate Fellows in August 2026.
