USC Shoah Foundation’s Work
In 1994 we launched an unprecedented effort to record, preserve, and share the testimonies of Holocaust survivors. Over the past 30 years, we have built a world-class institute committed to bringing survivors’ voices into research, policy, education, and public awareness around the Holocaust remembrance, combatting antisemitism, and the promotion of an ethical society.
COLLECTIONS

The Visual History Archive includes testimonies related to the Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, contemporary antisemitism, and other historical events. Our collections are an invaluable resource to scholars, journalists, educators, policymakers, and storytellers.

OUTREACH

All our initiatives and programs are anchored in the 56,0000 testimonies in our archive. We partner with museums, universities, and organizations to educate the public, influence policy, and build a more resilient society.

About Us

We give opportunity to survivors and witnesses to the Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, contemporary acts of antisemitic violence, and other global events of persecution to tell their own stories in their own words in audio-visual interviews. We preserve these testimonies and make them accessible for research, education, and outreach for the betterment of humankind in perpetuity.
