Aegis education team dives deep into IWitness during visit to Institute


In Rwanda, where the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi remains a fresh wound, education is a critical piece of promoting lasting peace.

A group with Aegis’s education team in Rwanda has concluded a three-week visit with the Institute to develop expertise for accessing testimony in IWitness, create testimony-based educational content for local educators and establish plans and expectations for the next phases of our partnership.

Institute Launches "Ways to Inspire Respect" Professional Development Series


The Ways to Inspire Respect Professional Development series launching today will engage with real-world issues that teachers face in classrooms, such as cultural conflict, lack of dialogue or inappropriate dialogue, and confusion around issues of identity that can quickly escalate in schools and distract from curricular goals.

Teaching with Testimony Enters Second Year in Czech Republic


USC Shoah Foundation recently convened its second Teaching with Testimony for the 21st Century seminar in the Czech Republic. Held July 8-12 at the Malach Center for Visual History in Prague, the program attracted educators from throughout the country and also from neighboring Slovakia.
