Barnabas Balint
2021-2022 Breslauer, Rutman, and Anderson Research Fellow

Barnabas Balint is the 2021-2022 Breslauer, Rutman, and Anderson Research Fellow at the USC Dornsife Center for Advanced Genocide Research. He is a PhD candidate in History at Magdalen College, University of Oxford, UK, with a specific interest in the history of the Holocaust and its impact on society.

His multi-lingual research (in English, French and Hungarian) combines the history of childhood, gender and identity to explore Jewish youth responses to persecution during the Second World War. He earned his BA with Honours in History at the University of Exeter and his Masters in Modern European History at Magdalen College, University of Oxford, UK. He has written, published and presented internationally on aspects of the Holocaust across Europe..
