Since the release of Steven Spielberg’s award-winning film, Schindler's List, and the founding of the Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation (now the USC Shoah Foundation — The Institute for Visual History and Education), innovations in digital media technologies have transformed how people communicate, publish, research and remember the past. Public work on memory has also proliferated. The conference will examine the trajectories of memory, media and technology throughout a range of disciplines and from a variety of vantage points and venues.
