Giving Tuesday: 2014 Highlights Students in Rwanda piloted IWitness in their classrooms. USC Shoah Foundation Center for Advanced Genocide Research launched. Teaching with Testimony in the 21st Century and other professional development programs were held in Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Czech Republic, France and Rwanda. President Barack Obama received the 2014 Ambassador for Humanity award. USC undergraduates learned about post-genocide reconstruction and remembrance on the second Problems Without Passports trip to Rwanda. Staff traveled to China to record 18 new testimonies for the Nanjing Massacre collection. Fifth graders from OA Thorp Scholastic Academy in Chicago completed the first-ever elementary IWitness pilot. Scholars from around the world attended the Through Testimony International Conference, hosted by USC Shoah Foundation and the Center for Advanced Genocide Research.
