IWitness and Echoes and Reflections Training in Knoxville, TN (February 2013)
Educators from the state of Tennessee, some traveling up to three hours, gathered at the Sara Simpson Professional Development Technology Center in Knoxville to participate in an Echoes and Reflections program on Wednesday, February 13. Organized by the Tennessee Holocaust Commission Inc., more than 20 secondary school educators received training as well as a copy of the award-winning Echoes and Reflections resource guide.
Half of the day’s program was dedicated to IWitness, the USC Shoah Foundation’s new educational website that features more than 1,200 searchable testimonies from its Visual History Archive, and student-centered activities that complement the lessons in the Echoes and Reflections guide. Full story
