Remembering Eddie Jaku
USC Shoah Foundation mourns the passing of our friend and partner Eddie Jaku, who has passed away in Sydney, Australia, at age 101. Eddie will be remembered for his extraordinary life—which included surviving the Holocaust by escaping from four concentration camps—and for his relentless positivity and kindness to all. In celebration of his 100th birthday he published his memoirs The Happiest Man on Earth, and earlier this year filmed a Dimensions in Testimony interview with USC Shoah Foundation and Sydney Jewish Museum, the latter of which he was involved in since its founding.
In this testimony given to the Sydney Jewish Museum in the 1990s he shares the lessons he drew from the Holocaust and which he graciously shared with the world for the rest of his life. May his memory be a blessing.
