A poet reflects on the Nanjing Massacre, April 30, 2013
The USC Shoah Foundation co-sponsored an evening with Honolulu poet and businessman Wing Tek Lum, who read from his new book The Nanjing Massacre: Poems. The reading took place on April 30 at USC.
This exhibit features a series of interviews with witnesses of the pogrom that occurred on November 9-10, 1938, known as Kristallnacht, "Night of Broken Glass." Organized in partnership with the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
A conversation with Stephen Feinberg, leading Holocaust educator
Stephen Feinberg remembers always finding the study of history to be interesting and exciting. During his studies as an undergraduate and graduate student, he was introduced to the history of the Holocaust.
“I became increasingly aware that this was a watershed event in history,” he recalls. “Therefore, I felt that it should be taught in schools.”
