To commemorate National Archives Month, the Society of American Archivists is sponsoring a social media event #AskAnArchivist Day on Wednesday, Oct. 5. The day is an opportunity for archivists to interact with anyone interested in their profession by answering questions with the hashtag #AskAnArchivist. USC Shoah Foundation will participate in #AskanArchivist Day for the third year. Throughout the day our archivists and indexers who will be answering questions on the Visual History Archive and the archive field.

USC Shoah Foundation’s ITeach seminars, which introduce educators to IWitness and teaching with testimony from the Visual History Archive, have been officially accredited by Hungary’s Ministry of Human Resources, paving the way for testimony to be fully integrated into Hungarian curriculum.

The students in Kristen Link’s high school German classes in Illinois learn a lot more than a new language. With the help of Echoes and Reflections, they also learn about one of the darkest chapters in German history. Link has taught the Holocaust as part of her German classes for over 15 years, but said she has felt for a while that something was missing from her teaching. She thought that there had to be a way to make her teaching on the subject more effective.
