USC Shoah Foundation’s education staff have published an article revealing IWitness’s profound effect on high school students around the world in an annual publication by UNESCO.

The newest activity in IWitness provides students with an opportunity to learn about the ill-fated voyage of the MS St. Louis in 1939.

USC Shoah Foundation has embarked on a partnership with Windward School - its first partner school in Los Angeles - to introduce Windward's teachers to the methodology of teaching with testimony and to integrate testimony-based educational activities into the school's curriculum.

Students using IWitness can now explore nearly 1,000 historical documents, photographs, publications and video testimonies to contextualize their learning about the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

A special delegation of staff and supporters of the USC Shoah Foundation arrived in Rwanda yesterday to begin a weeklong mission to learn about the Institute’s work in Rwanda, reinforce their commitment, and share the experience with others.

Students and teachers can commemorate April’s Genocide Awareness Month and the 20th anniversary of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda by completing two new IWitness activities.

The regional winners of the IWitness Video Challenge were inspired by Holocaust survivor testimony to serve food to the needy, speak out for immigration reform, hold a book drive for kids and more. One will be named the winner of the 2013 IWitness Video Challenge.
