LOS ANGELES - June 26, 2017 – While students across America enjoy their summer vacation, the education department at USC Shoah Foundation is busily making major new features to its award-winning IWitness educational website for educators and their students that will be ready by the time school resumes in the fall.
Coming on the heels of a successful initiative, 100 Days to Inspire Respect, these new offerings will further support educators around the world by building new and innovative ways to inspire respect and empower students to take positive action in the world.

IWitness Teacher Ambassadors Host IWitness Workshop at Saint-Vincent Muhoza School in Rwanda
Marthe Twizeyimana and Philippe Samvura both completed IWitness training workshops in the past and are now two of nine total “IWitness ambassadors” in Rwanda, dedicated to introducing other educators to IWitness.

Six distinguished University of Southern California faculty participated in a series of videos released during USC Shoah Foundation’s 100 Days to Inspire Respect program in which they watch clips of testimony and offer their thoughts on the clip’s themes and message.

Seven New Hungarian-Language Activities Published on IWitness
A set of new activities on the IWitness activities page are all in Hungarian, part of the Institute’s efforts to globalize the education of students and their teachers about hatred and intolerance using USC Shoah Foundation’s Visual History Archive.
IWitness Partnership with Memory Project Productions Connects Art and Testimony
USC Shoah Foundation has partnered with The Memory Project Productions to debut a new IWitness activity and incorporate testimony into the organization’s curriculum.
