Educators learned how Holocaust survivor testimonies from the Visual History Archive can help them teach early conflict prevention and cultural sensitivity at a workshop led by USC Shoah Foundation’s Ukrainian regional consultant, Anna Lenchovska.

IWitness users will notice some new features in the latest update of WeVideo. Students and teachers will enjoy new motion titles, premium music, and more advanced features like the ability to add transitions on all tracks, one of the most asked-for features from users.

​IWitness was a featured component of three training sessions hosted by the Holocaust Educators Network (HEN) this month.

Teach for Ukraine – a two-year teaching program similar to Teach for America – began training its first cohort last week, and part of that training included a workshop on IWitness and constructivist learning theory.

For the first time this fall, IWitness will begin offering virtual reality educational resources, such as its VR film Lala. Learn more about how testimony-based virtual reality will be integrated with IWitness’s core principles and pedagogy.

USC Shoah Foundation was invited to give a presentation about its IWalk program at Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum’s international education conference, “Awareness-Responsibility-Future,” earlier this week.

While students across America enjoy their summer vacation, the education department at USC Shoah Foundation is busily making major new features to its award-winning IWitness educational website for educators and their students that will be ready by the time school resumes in the fall.

IWitness will be one of several educational resources demonstrated to teachers at the Eva and Eugene Schlesinger Teacher Training Endowed Workshop July 10-14, 2017, at California State University Long Beach.

A group of students from Chicago who inspired their fellow students to embrace each other’s unique identity has won the 2017 IWitness Video Challenge sponsored by USC Shoah Foundation.
