How can a podcast encapsulate a generational turning point, reveal hidden histories, and make connections between Alfred Hitchcock and the Holocaust? When it is based on USC Shoah's Foundation's Visual History Archive of 55,000 audiovisual testimonies. With testimonies from over 60 countries and many experience groups including the Holocaust, the Armenian genocide, the Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda, the possibilities for connections and intersections are many.

The online discussion will bring together experts to consider the issue of medical ethics during, and in response to, the Holocaust. Panelists will discuss educational initiatives that draw on the history of the Holocaust to develop ethical leadership in a contemporary context.

We will explore the history behind the exhibits, discuss the nature of memory and memorials, and discover how the world remembers the Shoah and honors the lives we lost. We will also explore how that memory is interconnected to genocides, both past and present.

International March of the Living and Rutgers University Miller Center for Community Protection and Resilience will host “Let There be Light,” an internationally broadcast event commemorating Kristallnacht. The event, featuring testimony from USC Shoah Foundation's Visual History Archive, honors the moral heroism and valor of those who resisted evil during the Holocaust and at other times of mortal peril to humanity.

​We Share the Same Sky weaves together the stories of these two young women--Hana as a refugee who remains one step ahead of the Nazis at every turn, and Rachael, whose insatiable curiosity to touch the past guides her into the lives of countless strangers, bringing her love and tragic loss. Throughout the course of her twenties, Hana's history becomes a guidebook for Rachael in how to live a life empowered by grief.

Fernandes, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Associate Director of the Center for Bioethics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine for a webinar commemorating the 75th anniversary of the beginning of the Doctors Trial at Nuremberg, where physicians were placed on trial for their active participation in the labeling, persecution, and eventual mass murder of those deemed “lives unworthy of living.”

This documentary chronicles the Holocaust as experienced in Italy, from the racial laws Mussolini enacted in 1938 through the German invasion in 1943 and the liberation of Auschwitz in 1945. The experiences are made personal through the use of testimony from the archive of the USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education. Nine Italian citizens, all survivors of Auschwitz, share their stories; their testimonies are woven among personal and historical photographs and additional archival footage.
