From 17-18 October the political and expert representatives of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Strategic Planning Group gathered in Berlin to finalize the organization’s first draft strategy. Over the last 9 months, the group has worked to agree on suggested objectives for the organization’s work for the next 5 years, focusing on setting expectations in the field of Holocaust education, research and remembrance as well as promoting historically-informed policy-making and building cooperation and engagement.

Kim Simon, Managing Director of USC Shoah Foundation, is the Chair of the Communications Working Group.

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance unites governments and experts to strengthen, advance and promote Holocaust education, remembrance and research worldwide and to uphold the commitments of the 2000 Stockholm Declaration.
