Special Education teacher Andra Coulter has worked for the Calgary Board of Education since 2006 teaching in a unique setting for students who demonstrate severe externalizing behaviors. Coulter builds upon the existing abilities of her students to promote the development of their strengths, skills and attributes across school, home and social environments. Coulter has a background in the non-profit sector, working and volunteering for various local agencies prior to her work as a teacher. She holds a B.A in Psychology and a B.Ed in Elementary Education.

USC Shoah Foundation is hosting new webinars for educators that aim to provide a more in-depth and interactive approach to learning how to teach with testimony.

The school I teach at in Alberta, Canada, is considered a "unique setting" within our public school system. This means that our programming is designed to meet the complex learning, social and emotional needs of elementary children who exhibit extreme behavioral and emotional difficulties which impede their ability to be successful in school, community and home.

USC Shoah Foundation’s first-ever Texas A&M teaching fellow Adam R. Seipp is drawing on the Visual History Archive to help him fill some pretty big shoes.Seipp, a professor of history, will be taking over Texas A&M’s Introduction to the Holocaust course following the retirement of beloved Professor Arnold Krammer. The course is one of the most popular at the school, so teaching it is an incredible responsibility, Seipp said – but, he’ll do it with the support of the A.I. and Manet Schepps Foundation Teaching Fellow program.

Steven Spielberg, founder of USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education, will present William Clay Ford, Jr., executive chairman of Ford Motor Company, with the Institute’s Ambassador for Humanity Award at the organization’s annual gala, taking place this year in Detroit on September 10, 2015. Ford will be recognized for his leadership and corporate citizenry around education and community.
