The Division of Academic Programs supports, promotes, and produces interdisciplinary scholarship and research about the Holocaust and its aftermath. Our programs include academic publications and public-facing writing, research fellowships and colloquia, lecture series, and collaborations with university faculty and students. We welcome scholars and the general public to events where we translate our rich body of research and scholarship into easily accessible resources.

Scholar Lab Experiments with Novel Approach to Exploring Antisemitism
The inaugural 2020-2021 Scholar Lab program focuses on the topic of antisemitism. A cohort of academics was invited to explore antisemitism from a wide range of disciplinary perspectives and to use the collaborative meetings to guide and hone their work. The results of their research, presented in both traditional and non-traditional formats, will be accessible to the public later this year. Read More

Sara Horowitz Named 2020-2021 Shapiro Scholar in Residence
Sara R. Horowitz, Professor of Comparative Literature and Jewish Studies at York University and an esteemed scholar of the Holocaust, has been named the 2020-2021 Sara and Asa Shapiro Scholar in Residence at the USC Shoah Foundation Center for Advanced Genocide Research. She will deliver a public lecture and spend over a week in residence at the Center in March 2022. Read More
