An Evening With Eva Schloss, Stepsister of Anne Frank

Eva Schloss, stepsister and childhood friend of Anne Frank, spoke to a capacity crowd at USC on January 22, in an event sponsored by Chabad @ USC and USC Shoah Foundation–The Institute for Visual History and Education.  Like her stepsister, Schloss went into hiding in Holland and was betrayed, captured, and sent to the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp.  Today, her testimony is preserved in the Institute’s Visual History Archive.  In addition to sharing her own story, Schloss discussed the discovery and printing of Anne Frank’s wartime journal, The Diary of a Young Girl,

L'USC Shoah Foundation – Institut pour l’histoire visuelle et l’éducation, a organisé une exposition qui a été présentée au siège de l’UNESCO, à Paris. Cette exposition fut l’un des volets de la Journée internationale du souvenir de l’Holocauste pour l’année 2013. Chaque année, le 27 janvier – date anniversaire de la libération d’Auschwitz-Birkenau –, il est rendu hommage aux victimes de l’Holocauste.

Association of Holocaust Organizations convenes at the Institute: Winter seminar focuses on future of survivor testimony

Representatives from more than 30 Holocaust museums and centers in the United States and Canada came to Los Angeles this week for the 2013 Association of Holocaust Organizations (AHO) Winter Seminar, hosted for the first time by USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education.
