A four-year initiative to bring together the expertise of USC Shoah Foundation and the Azrieli Foundation—Canada’s leading nationwide Holocaust education program—has culminated with the release of a robust new destination for teachers and students with a variety of bilingual educational materials based on the memoirs and testimonies of Canadian Holocaust survivors.

Art and the Holocaust discusses the art of Holocaust survivor Dr. Viktor E. Frankl (author of Man’s Search For Meaning). This panel features Dr. Frankl’s grandson, Alexander Vesely-Frankl, a producer and award-winning documentary film director at Noetic Films in Los Angeles, California. He is also a licensed psychotherapist and head of the Viktor Frankl Media Archives in Vienna. Moderated by Stephen D. Smith, director of the USC Shoah Foundation Institute.
International March of the Living and Rutgers University Miller Center for Community Protection and Resilience will host “Let There be Light,” an internationally broadcast event commemorating Kristallnacht. The event, featuring testimony from USC Shoah Foundation's Visual History Archive, honors the moral heroism and valor of those who resisted evil during the Holocaust and at other times of mortal peril to humanity.
The Institute congratulates Lesley Stahl and her 60 Minutes team for winning a 2021 Gracie Award for their segment “Talking to the Past,” which focused on Dimensions in Testimony and featured live as well as virtual interviews with Holocaust survivors, including Pinchas Gutter, Eva Kor, Aaron Elster and Max Eisen.

This week, more than 20,000 people will attend Liberation 75, a virtual, global gathering for Holocaust survivors, their descendants, scholars, educators, and the wider community. The online conference, taking place May 4 to 9, is cosponsored by more than 200 organizations, including USC Shoah Foundation.
