Several months ago in my former senior high school class, students were introduced to the ideas of illiberalism. When discussing this issue, students are faced with how governments will apply laws and acts during times of crisis, as well as everyday life, that would limit or suspend civil liberties of any individual or group.

Thirty Days of Testimony from the Canadian Collections Begins Today

The Canadian collections consist of 1,250 testimonies taken by nine organizations in Canada, the three biggest of which are the Montreal Holocaust Memorial Centre, Sarah and Chaim Neuberger Holocaust Education Centre, and McGill University.

USC Shoah Foundation Debuts IWalk and IWitness Activity for 75th Anniversary of Babi Yar

Coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the Babi Yar massacre in Ukraine, USC Shoah Foundation has published a new IWitness activity about Babi Yar and has begun leading a brand-new IWalk at the historic site in Kiev.

Jewish Interactive Museum of Chile Gains 100 Holocaust Testimonies from Visual History Archive

Expanding its reach in South America, USC Shoah Foundation has reached an agreement with a museum in Chile to house nearly 100 testimonies from Holocaust survivors.

Visual History Archive Updated with Guatemalan Genocide Collection, Canadian Collections and Interface Enhancements

The Visual History Archive added 1,302 new testimonies, 1,361 new interviewees, six new experience groups, one new historic event and 10 new collections in a single update over the weekend.

Over 800 New Indexing Terms to be Added to Visual History Archive Thesaurus
